Elizabeth Drew is an American journalist who has worked as a correspondent for The New Yorker since 1975. She is the author of Washington Journal, which was nominated for the National Book Award in nonfiction, and co-author of The Hope: The Untold Story of the German Jews, 1933–1941. Drew previously worked as a reporter for The Washington Post, where she covered Watergate and the judicial process. She is also the author of Deep Background: A Reporter's Tale of Political Journalism and The Secrets of the FBI, which is a history of the FBI during World War II.
